It makes sense that the powerful will be drawn to Communism since it gives them that much more power. The Gulag Archipelago really spells out how power can be abused. The colleges especially have gone hard left in the last decades, it wasn't true so in my youth. I wrote a short essay on changes one might make in schools to improve things. I don't think you could get these ideas through a school board, but getting some in may get the ball rolling. It might go better in rural schools. You may or may not have seen this:
