This is priceless:
It’s “vintage Trump”. He’s B-A-A-A-C-K, Boys! (and Girls - and anyone else).
What The Mad, Dreary, Sour Left doesn’t seem to understand is that we LIKE Trump the way he naturally is.
Snarky, always ready to jab back, unfazed by complaints of his “unpresidential” demeanor, and absolutely NOT gonna back down.
Like it or not, that is his persona.
And, in fact, the average American DOES like it.
A lot.
The Left, and there Allies, consider Trump infra dig, to use the old term deployed by the English to denote their utter dismissal of a ‘lower-class’ person, who they are forced by circumstances to endure in their presence. I remember hearing some Brit imports of my youth using that term. Whatever they were doing in America, I have NO idea (likely searching for a cushier place to land, and protect their remaining capital, than post-War England).
As the upper-classes in America used to say, NOKD (Not OUR Kind, Dear).
What I suggest Trump/Vance point out to the potential voters:
Look. We can EITHER use the Federal tax dollars to fund CURRENT obligations, which include:
Retirement through Social Security - although, perhaps less so for those with other assets. That should be coupled with an end to Social Security, for those over 45 who are not currently collecting it. That gives them 20 years to cut their consumer debt, stash all the money they are able into an investment account/IRA, and - if necessary - work an extra job - which are in abundance at present (most restaurants would LOVE to have older, more mature and reliable workers to fill in part-time shifts).
Military health and retirement obligations - although, same as above, NO further COLA adjustments (Exception: the service-connected disabilities), and the officer level retirees may have to pay more for VA/Tricare non-service-connected health services. Phase out the 20 years and out for all but the COMBAT veterans - and, no, cycling through briefly into the rear section of a combat zone does NOT count, unless suffering a serious injury. Everyone else in the service has to serve until 65 for a full pension (they may take any vested money out, with the government’s portion included, and invest it, should they want to leave earlier).
Current projects in process - construction, military hardware, etc. - NOT to be changed or extended, except at contractor’s expense. Some of these projects will be determined to be useless, and will be cancelled.
Interest on debt - any money saved from cost-reductions is to be applied DIRECTLY to buying back debt.
But, that doesn’t include EBT, Medicaid, and all those other ‘completely necessary’ programs!
No, it doesn’t.
Turn those obligations over to the states. Next year, pay for only 75% of the previously Federally funded portion.
The following year, 50%. Continue until NONE of the money expended in those programs is provided by Federal monies.
I’ll wager my next month’s SS check that - SUDDENLY - the states will identify those who really shouldn’t be sucking that money up - the non-citizens, the dubious claimants, the double-dippers, etc. And, they will stop the Gravy Train for those people.
SUDDENLY, the states will find they DO have the ability to cut the rolls. The counties will be warned that their take of the money will be cut 25%, and - SUDDENLY - intake personnel will find the fakers, the ineligible, the non-citizens, and those who were signed up without valid documentation.
Same with other departments/agencies. Cut their appropriations by 25%. No excuses, no exceptions. This will require the cooperation of Congress and the Senate (I’m anticipating that if Trump wins, so will sufficient numbers of legislators to make this feasible).
Now, will some agencies protect “Their Guys”?
Sure.
And, if, in fact, Their Guys WERE the most productive and competent, they will be fine. Perhaps working even better, once the deadwood is cut.
And, if the whole Shebang goes to Hell, well, maybe hiring and firing on your workers’ identity is not the stellar plan that it was said to be.
Either way, Win-Win.
James O’Keefe is on the prowl again - this time, targeting phony contributions to ActBlue, which then end up on the hands of the Harris campaign and the Democratic Party.
This may end up making the ACORN takedown look paltry.
