This is an article that echoes something I’ve been saying for some time. Trump’s main value is as a disruptor - someone who keeps The Left so busy trying to corral him that they can’t be bothered with issues at the local level (city, county, state).
Let’s face it, The Left cannot win at the local levels for a prolonged period of time, excepting those states where the apparatus has been in place at the state level forever, and the mechanisms for control - institutional fraud, biased courts, agency control, and control of vital voting procedures (ability to vote in another party’s primary, ranked voting, which tends to weed out non-Leftist candidates, mail-in voting rules AND how they are interpreted), have been institutionalized by law.
For most people, acting at the local level provides the biggest effect. It’s there that you can use issues to build coalitions, encourage others to participate and vote, and provide brakes on money grabs by politicians and local organizations. Even a few people, working together at that level, can create massive change.
THIS is a question all Americans should be asking:
Why are the leadership of the IRS (and other agencies, like the Dept. of Agriculture and the Small Business Administration) buying guns and ammo?
It’s not like their regular employees, in the course of their day, need fear armed resistance. In the case of the IRS, the worst they might face is an overturned desk or tears by a dissatisfied customer. They work in buildings that are HEAVILY guarded, and all entering the building must submit to careful inspection of their bags and person, including metal detectors.
These Departments can call upon federal and state resources, should there be realistic concern that they may face violence in the course of their duties. That would normally NOT include attempting to force compliance with one of their regulations - that’s what courts are for, resolving disputes.
I don’t know about you, but the idea of accountants and bureaucrats carrying automatic weapons around sends a chill down my spine. I say this, despite having loved seeing that Treasury agent who was an accountant in The Untouchables bust a cap in Capone’s thugs. It’s about 3 minutes into the clip here.
But, movies aside, arming the finance guys, and other bureaucrats is a BAD idea.
So, why are they doing it?
You know why.
So, when they tell you to give up your guns, tell them:
You First
Housing is, once again, becoming a major problem in many cities. The base cost of the cheapest apartments and homes is beyond the ability of most non-Elite workers to manage.
So what’s the solution the Elites came up with?
I can’t blame the teachers who cannot do those jobs. The yearly rent on a small apartment would equal their yearly salary. Funny, though, how the school system would rather subsidize foreigners, than to provide the same opportunity to Americans.
I happened to look at the calendar, and it’s been 20 years since I first started blogging. I started on a group blog, then on my own for many years, then, again on a group blog, and now, a bit of both.
I like blogging - it’s a nice way to shoot my mouth off, without subjecting family and friends to being in the vicinity. A few - a VERY few - follow me. Most try to persuade themselves that I’m a ‘nice older lady who is naive and easily influenced by those BAD people who oppose them”. I don’t argue with them, just smile sweetly.
What can I say?
Those who like me, REALLY like me. Those who don’t, get to ignore me.
That’s fair.
I’d just prefer it if they gave me that same option when THEY shoot their mouths off.

Those who beat their swords into plows will plow for those who don’t. They know that people will not willingly get in the boxcars.
