Or, MAYBE Not So Unintended

A bipartisan coalition of Congressmen has elected to provide $40 billion in subsidies for chip manufacturers to increase production and reduce our dependence on foreign companies. This is a GOOD thing.

But, the Commerce Dept. got involved, and imposed a rule that forced those chip manufacturers to provide ‘high quality child care’ - ON PREMISES.

This NY Post story points out that this both reduces choice in child care for parents, but also may actually REDUCE the ability of community day care operations to stay in business, thereby reducing access to those not employed by the chip guys.

But, it’s worse than that.

One big way The Left have been blocked from indoctrinating the young is that parents, once informed that it is happening, have come down - HARD - on the schools, libraries, and child care facilities doing it. They have used their clout as parents to force the institutions to back down.

BUT, if the child care is being provided by the company, and THEY impose the Woke Agenda on their vulnerable charges, the parents will hesitate to complain - because it might cost them their job.

THAT is why The Left is so adamantly against community or family day care. They want to be able to force their agenda on the kids, unopposed.
