Those Who Have Not Read Heinlein...

NEED to Read Him, NOW!

As far as I can tell, Heinlein was the inventor for the concept of The Crazy Years. That would be a period of time (It shifted in his books, from the 1940s through the 1960s. I have to believe that he would have been aghast to see the absurdities of today), in which people acted in emotional and often irrational ways, society was driven by lemming-like behavior - follow the crowd!, and what societal expectations and cultural norms pivoted in real time.

Now, I was born in the 50s. I lived through the fads of Davy Crocket coonskin hats, hula-hoops, and the de-coupling of women’s fashion from any idea of practicality or ability to flatter the normal female figure.

I was a teen in the 60s, and we all know of the idiocies of that era.

Decade by decade, the current influencers of the culture worked overtime to vie for the title of The Most Out-There Person of all time. No effort was spared to find ways to be more shocking, extreme, or anti-Normie.

And, now, we are here, with:

• Increasing numbers of minors clamoring to be chemically and surgically transformed into an external imitation of the opposite sex. AND, wanting the taxpayers to cover the costs, both for the immediate change, and for years of supportive medication.

• Insistence on punishing those who refuse to see those claiming to be the other sex as ACTUALLY transformed into it. A scientific impossibility, but failure to go along with their delusion is being made into a crime.

• Demanding to accept illegal aliens, not just as LEGAL, but “actually” citizens, with voting right, and entitlement to all benefits restricted to citizens. Again, failure to go along with those demands are CRIMES.

• Furries, people above the age of majority screaming like children in public, those claiming to be AntiFa acting in remarkably Fascist ways (attacking Jews for being Jews, interfering with Jewish students’ education), and forcing resisters to utter cringing apologies for daring to state the truth.

That’s just a small sample. I’m not even touching on ‘reality’ TV, pornographic performances (Oooh! Edgy!), sexualization of children being normalized, and the issues of the all-too-many minor illegal aliens who are being trafficked, with the apparent cooperation of the Biden Leftist Administration. Lord knows, you could probably add your own.

Heinlein, being a relatively rational individual, assumed that The Crazy Years would come to an end.

I’m not that hopeful.
