This Doesn't Surprise Me

The flood of donations to pro-abortion groups, prompted by the Supreme Court decision, has dried up.

It's not surprising. Most Leftist groups do not rely on individual donations to provide the financing for their causes. Instead, they use the money from Foundation-laundered money to have a continuous flow of cash for their work. We, the taxpayer, pick up 1/2 of the money paid, as the originating foundations (and, sometimes, a few intermediaries to muddle the audit trail) are tax-exempt. And, although their grants often go to politically-oriented or otherwise not eligible for tax-free status organizations, the initial foundation still keeps their 501© status.

But, the initial emotion-fueled rage has died down. And, the lobbying groups, and activist organizations will likely be, as a result, de-fanged. They will not have the clout or money to get states to declare abortion until birth a secular sacrament.
