Take Me Away, Calgon!
Why I've reached a point where I just have to stop looking at current events
My brain is fried. I’ve been riding a roller-coaster of Hope Highs, and Dashed Dreams Lows, as I’ve compulsively chewed up the news.
I haven’t exercised in weeks. I’ve got neck and back aches from sitting hunched over my computer for hours on end.
My diet has been shot to Hell. I haven’t lost a pound in 3 weeks.
My house looks like an IED went off in the middle of it.
So, I’m taking a few days break - think of it as R & R for the MAGA Bloggers. We’ve tried to keep up with the rapidly changing situation, but it’s time for a break.
For the next 3 days, I will just STOP looking at the news, blogs, or social media. I’m going to detach completely.
I’ve loaded some books on my Kindle, and will only use my computer/tablets for business purposes.
If I use my laptop to do any writing, I’ll keep the Internet connection OFF.
I suggest we all do the same.
UPDATE: I found this, and laughed out loud. You probably will, too.
