Some Links that Made Me Think, but also...
Laugh, Guffaw, and Enjoy Some Snide Little Giggles
The first is from Monster Hunters International - and, here is a short excerpt to whet your lips:
Econ, Finance, and Accounting. The people who have to actually understand how money works in real life, are the least likely to favor socialism. That’s what a trained criminal investigator might call a clue. 😀
I’m surprised they found that many accountants who actually like socialism, but then again, I worked with a few idiots. They were usually total morons who never advanced beyond whatever entry level position they started at, and were usually miserable to work with.
Good accountants need to be clever, think critically, have a finely tuned bullshit detector, do research, and solve problems on their own. Do any of those things sound like things socialists are known for?
I started out as a Business Major - later, I switched to History. Why? My History professor, and later, advisor was into research and quantitative analysis. That part, I really liked. (His politics were solidly Left, but he was a pretty fair guy, for a Leftist).
So, when the Leftists in that Left-leaning major started spouting absolute nonsense, I provided the alternative viewpoint. That I was able to do so, and with no apologies for being Pro-Capitalism, was a real shock to some of them.
Here is a piece on writing that I - mostly - agree with.
Not completely - this guy is similar in his processes, but not a twin - but close.
He is a more professional writer - greater output, more work published - than I. I’d always thought that if my husband weren’t around, I could be more productive.
Boy, was I wrong!
Without him, I lost all discipline, spending days on trivial pursuits, sitting too much, eating junk food in copious quantities, and NOT writing all that much.
I did - mostly - keep up with my journal. But, little progress was made on ANY of my works in progress.
It was humbling to admit. But, ultimately, worth the realization.
Since then, I’ve gotten SOMEWHAT better about planning my activities out, and making sure that writing time was part of that. But I’m still not where I’d like to be.
I have identified some of the ways I sabotaged my writing progress:
Not getting dressed and ready first thing in the morning
Not sticking to protein-rich, healthy meals
Not making a plan for the next day before going to bed
Starting my day with reading, whether online blogs or Kindle books
Not moving enough - too long in one place, and I start getting sleepy
I’m not where I want to be, but I can see some of the things I need to be doing today to make my tomorrows more worthwhile.

Started this a while back, am updating it and getting it out there (finally).
I saw this Time Magazine cover, and had to look again.
Is it just me, or does this look like an Indian?
Feather, not dot.
Maybe that’s the point - to confuse people, and increase the electability chances for her.
