I was reading a piece on the Daily Caller, about how Pelosi intervened to get a waiver for ethics violations for her nephew and his wife.
I know, I know - you are SHOCKED to think that Pelosi could have POSSIBLY be engaged in unethical conduct!
As I was ruminating on the story, it occured to me:
The entire Deep State is filled with ethics violators, liars, and people addicted to circulating confidential information with NGOs and the Media. For years, they’ve barely managed to keep the stories out of reach of Media attention. The only time the truth outs is when the knives are out for that person/group.
They have used their power over the social media giants to smother any mention in their permitted posts. They have gone beyond that to de-platform, de-bank, and harass the noncompliant alternative media (and, occasionally, mainstream reporters such as Sharyl Attkisson).
Start with identifying those in government that are most resistant to Trump, and willing to collect a paycheck, while no-so secretly working against his direction.
Begin with laying a case for insubordination. Issue directives, and follow up on every delay, refusal to comply, meeting with reporters to get their side of the argument favorable to the recalcitrant in the news, and otherwise violate the terms of their employment contract/description.
At the same time, look into ethics violations - start with those identified in the past. Continue to explore those continuing to exist - with a focus on those that they denied existed, or “forgot” to disclose in their annual forms.
These violations may be:
Financial - benefiting themselves, a family member, or a close connection. They could include directly receiving money/gifts, allowing family members to get extremely well-paid jobs they are not remotely qualified for, passing along information that oh-so-coincidentally allow those in the loop to make a killing in the stock market, or sending business to companies that will employ family or even themselves, should they suddenly find themselves unemployed.
Employee Conduct - Get the lawyers in to look at contract language, including that in the government employees union contract. Dig out the language that would permit firing an employee for cause. If a prohibition doesn’t exist to bar future employment to fired employees (and those released in agreements in lieu of public firing), get the Congress to enact a law REQUIRING it. No sense firing someone from one government job to find that they pop up in another.
Moral - keep this one simple. If the action involves a minor, or involves deliberate public sex - on or offline - that employee is GONE. Otherwise, unless it affects their job - sex with a subordinate, drinking/drugging on the job, or other behavior that causes a problem in the workplace, ignore it.
Confidential Information Release - If an employee is caught, they should be shown the door, even if there was no financial incentive. The only exception is if that release of info is to a government entity that has oversight rights - Congress/Senate and Office of Inspector General. Otherwise, unless they are under a subpoena, it’s a violation and they need to go.
Trump understands this. When someone needs to be fired, you let them build their own case by their actions. You don’t jump on firing immediately. Look at Trump’s actions, both on the show, and in real life. He brings people in, reads them the riot act, lets them know the required actions to be taken, and, if they fail to follow direction, then fires them. But he always gives them a chance to succeed.
The only people he doesn’t need to do that for are the holdovers - those occupying positions that are at-will. And, there are a lot of them in government. Obama did an end-run against losing his acolytes in those positions by playing the game of shuffling them into jobs that had greater protection against involuntary release.
These Deep State guys aren’t rocket scientists. They are overly impressed with their own intelligence and importance. They will likely, once again, make the fireable moves they have in the past.
It just requires collecting the info, going through the steps, and closing the door.
Start with the DOJ. They, alone, slow the process of getting rid of the stubbornly resistant down to a crawl. I’m assuming that the holdovers in vulnerable positions are already out the door.
If the Deep State has moved their pawns into protected positions, note which ones. Like the Communists in government contemporaneous with Hiss, certain agencies/departments are headed by Deep State moles. Target the serpent’s head first, and remove him/her/whoever, along with any others that are associated. Most of those jobs aren’t protected against a change in leadership determining that the organization will be moving in another direction, and thank you for your service, along with a pat on the back, and a kick in the ass.
Order that NONE of the no-longer needed employees will be re-hired in the federal government at ANY level without specific Oval Office approval. If someone does it anyway, put that in their insubordination jacket, and keep gathering evidence.
For now, as long as they are out of government, let them go - they are someone else’s problem. The only exception would be the quasi-governmental places - SEC, The Federal Reserve, Consumer Agency, and the like. Trump may not have direct control of them, but he can find ways to make their lives VERY unpleasant.
Will it ever happen? I doubt it, but it's a great idea.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥
