Ho-boy! I found the original document on The Gateway Pundit, that specifically lays out the charges against ALL of the people who are being persecuted. I think GA calls it prosecution, but I know my phrasing is more accurate (I hope that’s not a chargeable crime under the GA criminal code!)
I’m going to try to break it down into the individual classifications (apparently, GA has lumped ALL of their supposed instances of ‘crimes’ that the group may have committed or ATTEMPTED to commit - more on that later - so the total number of charges are 40).
The first charge enables them to charge EVERYBODY with at LEAST two crimes, some of them more. I’m going to list them by charge, then statute number, then which numbered charges used the exact same wording and statute number.
Violation of the GA RICO Act
Statute 16-14-4(c)
Charge 1

This has a lot of charges: 2, 5, 6, 23, 26, 28, and 38

Charge 8

Essentially the same charge as the previous, but, because the first charge is a RICO one, the GA DAs can play pile-on - Charge 9
Forgery in the First Degree
16-9-1(b)
Charges 10, 16
Conspiracy to Commit Forgery in the First Degree
16-4-8 & 16-9-1(b)
Again, the RICO pile-on

Charge 36
Conspiracy to Defraud the State
16-10-1
Charge 37
Whew! That took a lot of effort!
Now, why do I say that these are overcharges?
Let’s take the first one. It would enable the government to charge EVERYONE in a meeting, club, organization, or company, if ONE of them commits a crime, and had ANY conversations relating in ANY way to ANY aspect of it. Even if it was “Hey, can I use the company car for an errand? I need to get some paperwork to court.”
The use of RICO has gone WAY beyond its original intent - to find a way to put multiple crimes (ACTUAL crimes) into a package that didn’t just sweep in the low-level crooks, but their bosses. And, to be honest, RICO hasn’t been all that successful in clearing out organized crime. It’s still there, and probably always will be, as long as the politicians seem dedicated to making EVERYTHING a crime.
The second one, Solicitation of Violation of Oath of a Public Official, refers to Trump’s team asking people to hold off on certifying a clearly questionable election. Unlike the time Gore’s team did essentially the same in the 2000 election, this time, it’s being treated as a crime.
False Statements and Writings - if TPTB say a statement is not true, then it is a CRIME to insist that they are wrong. Most of the charges are of these, and filing/attempting to file documents.
Which criminalizes dissent. So much for Free Speech.
The 3 computer ‘crimes’ - Theft, Trespass, and Invasion of Privacy - all appear to criminalize efforts to secure the machines/make a copy of the data so as to preserve the original information. Too often, challengers go back to contest an election, and find that - MYSTERIOUSLY - either the machine cannot be found, the data is corrupt or missing, or otherwise cannot be found in its original form. BTW, the actions of the Trump team seem to have been entirely within the law.
Eleven of the charges are conspiracy charges - which are not appropriate for the situation. Otherwise, ALL of the Democratic Party could be charged on multiple counts, including, for example in the ‘missing sensitive information case’, Hillary’s staff, as well as her.
Sadly, it would only take an exhausted jury, eager to get home, to compromise on one or two charges, and call it a day. That’s why the prosecutors file these inflated charges - like the guy who asks random women “Wanna screw?”, he only has to get lucky with one to succeed.
Why don’t they include conspiracy to drive while Republican?
