I’ve Found a New Site With Original Thinking
It’s here, at Stream.org. Also read the transcript of his TED Talk to the Elite, referenced in the post.
It’s very early here, just before 7 am. My nasty respiratory infection is finally improving, and I have the energy to do things around the house.
In a few minutes, I’ll get my coffee, and life will be even better.
Well, my day just got a lot more interesting. I followed a link to a Springfield, OH, resident, who provides his on the ground take on the Alien Invasion of his
I looked at the crime data. It’s only up to 2022, so some of the most recent incidents are not available. Also, recent changes in the way that crimes are reported/addressed by the police and judicial system, may not fairly reflect actual incidence, but whether the complaint was recorded as a crime, or simply marked as “been there, nothing to see”.
In recent years, many jurisdictions have resorted to “catch & release” of alleged criminals, with no bail required. Too often, the same few actors commit crimes, over and over again, with no confinement.
The majority of crimes of any type are “pled down”. Usually this results in no or reduced jail time, and - often - most charges dismissed, and only misdemeanors prosecuted. As a result, all too often, truly dangerous criminals have an official record that makes them look like a youthful choir boy who had a bad night.
The actual data, through 2022, doesn’t show major changes in the official crime stats - with two exceptions - rape and assault. Those crimes may be indicators of hidden problems. Often, for property crimes, it just isn’t worth the time that it would take for the victims to pursue police reports, prepare to testify (Sometimes, court delays mean that the innocent victim has to cool their heels on multiple occasions, only to be told to return at another time. If the victim has a job, that usually means burning through personal days off, or even foregoing their hourly pay.)
But personal assaults, and rape (an extreme form of personal assault) are different. They leave PHYSICAL evidence that cannot be brushed under the rug. They can be a better indicator of just how prevalent the crime situation really is, than official reports, or sunny proclamations from the PR people at city hall.
And, BOTH categories are sharply up. That fact, alone, may be the major factor that is propelling the outrage of the outraged citizens. The animal grabs are more public, so that is what they are talking about. But, their growing sense of uneasiness may be the bigger story. That uneasiness has a FACTUAL basis.
The surge of Placed Immigrants is not a new event - over the last three years, the numbers, and percentages, have skyrocketed. Coincidentally - or not-so coincidentally - the increase in crime has paralleled that surge.
I must mention that auto accidents, in the absence of video evidence, or observation by a cop, tend to be recorded as just an unfortunate event, no criminal fault involved. So, the increase in reckless driving doesn’t appear to be in the crime stats, even if it involves damage to property or people. That data may be in insurance records, but I don’t know, at this time, how to access them.
So.
Are the valid complaints of Springfield CITIZEN residents being swept under the rug? It does appear that they are, with the active collusion of state officials and the Official Media.
