Getting Payback, vs. Prosecution for ACTUAL Crimes
ONE of Those is Fair and Legal - Guess Which One?
In my life, I’ve often had thoughts of ‘getting back’ at the people who have treated me unfairly. If it’s just a random thought that goes no further, it might be the source of a funny story or a movie script.
But, most of us will not fume for YEARS at the thought of the unjust treatment we’ve received, and plot to exact revenge.
We’re adults, in more than years achieved or in name. We have learned not to respond like a child who was given an undeserved punishment, who, as an adult, STILL has a lousy relationship with their family - all because of an incident that everyone else has forgotten.
Now, if that incident was not isolated, and was part of a pattern of abuse, then that former child is justified in holding a grudge. Even then, the mature thing to do is walk away. Just cut contact, and build a life with people who DO put them first.
In politics, the affected are only family in the loosest sense. But people who have been badly treated by the government’s representatives have a Constitutional right to seek retribution for an unjust action by a government employee. That person should have to face loss of a job, if the offense is serious enough, and even criminal/civil charges for intentional illegal actions.
The “qualified immunity” was intended to protect government employees from being punished for actions RELATED to their job that were incidental to the work, or unintentional. Even mistakes that a careful person could have avoided were covered under that clause.
What would not, and SHOULD NOT be covered are actions that are partisan, knowingly criminal, and directed specifically to keep their party in control of the reins of government. Those provisions are the ones that need to be addressed, ASAP, by the Supreme Court.
We simply cannot continue to allow partisans to use the power of the government to conduct vendettas against citizens of the United States without some way of levying PERSONAL retribution against them. Fining them is not an answer - the courts have permitted such fines to be taken out of the money provided by taxpayers, which doesn’t cost the employee a dime.
There needs to be either legislation directly addressing this issue, or a court case in which the actions of the employee were so egregiously partisan and contrary to the clear job description, and also CRIMINAL in nature. Not just a trumped up charge that twists law to attack a political opponent, but an actual crime that is intended to put a citizen in legal jeopardy of being incarcerated or adjudged a felon.
Those are the crimes of the Biden administration, and of the Obama administration before it. It has become the modus operandi of the Deep State.
The American people must have the ability to charge the individuals engaging in such behavior in criminal court, with all legal costs born by the individual, any fines applied to the individual, and with loss of federal benefits, including pension rights (I’m feeling generous, the portion of their pension that THEY personally contributed to the fund will be returned, with accumulated interest).
This is core. We have been infested with a criminal class that is taking advantage of “qualified immunity” to use their positions to engage in Organized Crime. At our expense. On government time.
