Leave it to taxpayer-supported employees to milk a crisis until the last drop of patience is bone dry - AND beyond.
Look at the charts of the agencies and departments that harbor the worst offenders.
My action in response to that Entitled Attitude?
Immediate ORDER directing ALL employees to return to on-site work.
Any employee not following that order is suspended, without pay, for insubordination and abuse of the absence system. Failure to show up within a week would result in firing, WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO BE RE-HIRED BY ANOTHER AGENCY.
Simultaneously, reorganize the agencies to reduce the number of jobs. Employees are free to compete for the jobs that remain.
Start with the agencies that have the lowest numbers of employees present. Agency by agency, remove and NOT replace employees.
